Meet the Founder

Meghan V. Bonsall- Founder and president of Bubble’s Bartending Service. Meghan has over 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She started out as the “hostess with the mostess” at 15 years old at a local restaurant in her hometown, Mount Joy, Pa, called Bube’s Brewery (the oldest brewery to remain intact from the 1800’s lager era).  This is where, unknowingly, Meghan would start to develop her life-long passion for the hospitality industry. After high school, Meghan moved to Harrisburg, Pa in 2004 where she landed a job as a waitress at Zembie’s Sports Tavern, one of the oldest restaurant in the city. After working in downtown Harrisburg for two years, she was able to save up enough money for tuition at Harrisburg Area Community College, where she studied Marketing with a minor in Hospitality. Shortly after starting college, Meghan was promoted to  bartender at Zembie’s Sports Tavern, where she was mentored by the legendary Paul Smiley. Paul trained her to be the professional, personable, quick with joke or a light to your smoke bartender that she is today. Working in one of the longest running bars in Harrisburg, Pa and working under Angelo Karagiannis has given Meghan the hands-on experience with health codes, new and old liquor laws, upcoming events in the area, and every single last detail needed to run a successful business.

Furthering her higher education, Meghan had the opportunity to take courses in food safety and earned her Food Safe Certificate in 2007. Meghan has also completed the Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP) and obtains a current RAMP certification.  RAMP is a course offered by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board that includes training and resources available to licensees so that they may understand and employ responsible alcohol management practices.

In 2015, Meghan was awarded Mixologist of the Month by The Pennsylvania Licensed Beverage & Tavern Association. She was very appreciative for the nomination and grateful to be recognized by an association that works diligently to be an effective and influential voice for the liquor rights of businesses in Harrisburg, Pa.
